The Women of Wilmington Project is a multimedia project aimed to educate, empower and celebrate the women of Wilmington, NC and surrounding communities. The project will include a living history video archive of prominent women in the community; an interactive exhibit of photographs, memorabilia and notable artifacts; and an annual celebration event.
The first phase of this project in 2011 featured a short video production featuring Wilmington's women in the arts. You can see this video below. Future phases of the video portion of the project will feature women from other disciplines. This may be developed as a ongoing televised series so please check back for more information or fill out Contact Us form to receive more information.
If you are interested in making a WOW nomination, please click here or go to our WOW nomination page. This is an ongoing project and a daunting one as there are so many deserving and inspirational women in our community who should be celebrated always.
